Publishers Clearing House needed to up their game to improve mobile app engagement, usability, and user retention rates in their flagship sweepstakes product. So they asked us to tear it down and build something fresh and exciting.
Meeting users’ expectations
So, We undertook a comprehensive app audit and usability study to understand the client’s challenges and dug into how we could better meet users’ expectations. We revisited the user experience and optimized the flow to create more fluid gameplay and funnel users through to sweepstakes entries more quickly.
Now the new PCH+ App is packed full of fun, super-casual, quick-play games that offer users a chance to win real-world prizes. Players journey towards these real prizes by travelling along a world map, playing mini-games, earning tokens, and entering sweepstakes along the way.
Combined with an intuitive and efficient onboarding process, a thoughtful user experience, high-quality 3D graphics, and ongoing feature updates, the app has outperformed the client’s expectations. With average daily sessions per user at 1.8 and an incredible 32-minute average session time, we’ve helped foster a loyal user base that makes the app part of their everyday routine.
