Let's make delicious, digital stuff.
Weirdwood Manor
Wasabi Entertainment
The Incredible Tales of Weirdwood Manor is a unique interactive storytelling experience, written and developed by our sister company, Wasabi — a team of writers, game designers, and developers with a shared passion for great stories.
If your kids are Harry Potter and The Golden Compass fans, they are going to love this app!
Tech With Kids
A living novel
At its heart, Weirdwood is about story. It’s a novel, and is meant to be read. The artwork, puzzles, and subtle animations help bring that story to life, but are ultimately there to enhance what is being read, not to distract from it. It’s an experience unlike anything else we’ve seen out there. A novel – not a “storybook” – but still, much more alive than your traditional paperback. We call it a “Living Novel”. It seemed the best way to describe this new approach to storytelling!
We hope our stories and tools inspire kids to explore their imagination and write their own stories.
Malibu Beach Club
Pernot Ricard
Beverage giant, Pernod Ricard was looking to address a problem they have every year with one of its premium brands, Malibu Rum: keep interest and excitement from fading over the dreary winter months.
From story and game conception to design to development, we crafted an experience that was fun, addictive, and seamlessly integrated the brand.
“Sim City on a beach”
Given the direction of “Sim City on a beach”, we created Beach Club — a simulation strategy game where the goal is to become the Ultimate Beach Manager. To become the Ultimate Beach Manager, the player is tasked with building an activity-filled beach where NPCs (Non-Player Characters) can frequent and enjoy.
From story and game conception to design to development, we crafted an experience that was fun, addictive, and helped promote Malibu Rum recipes and brand recognition in a way that subtle and seamless.
Malibu stakeholders were given access to a custom admin tool that allowed them to view realtime stats on registered users, returning users, user level progress, average and total play time as well as players currently ‘on the beach’ (actively playing).
Hubbellville
Hubbell Power Systems
Hubbell Power Systems is one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of infrastructure technologies in North America — with a catalog of products for cities big and small. We created Hubbellville, a fully 3d experience created in Unity, to demonstrate how many of Hubbell’s key technologies were used daily to help keep cities humming, all across America.
A whole new world
Hubbellville has revolutionized the way Hubbell Power Systems sales force showcases their most popular products. The Relish team created a 3d-modelled world that inspired reps to tell the story of Hubbell and what sets them apart. As leaders in their industry, Hubbell wanted to bring a bit of sexy to power generation.
Hubbellville allows sales reps and their purchasing engineer clients the opportunity to interact with 3d models of products that till now had only been available in flat catalogues. We also created several Augmented Reality experiences that helped bring a series of large scale posters to life!
Dwellness
Founding partner
Think of Dwellness as “Uber for outside-the-home maintenance”. The Dwellness platform allows customers to order services for their home like driveway and walkway clearing “à la carte” with a few taps of their smartphone.

Dwell well
When job requests are posted by customers, professional service providers search for and accept the jobs from their smartphones. Payments are handled by Dwellness so that no money changes hands. No contract, no commitment, and no gratuities. Heck, you don’t even have to be at home.
Relish Interactive is a founding partner of Dwellness and was responsible for the branding, marketing materials, mobile apps, and the underlying technology that powers the platform.

The Rift
Philanthrokidz
At Relish, we love innovative ideas, so when Philanthrokidz approached us with their idea for the Rift, an online community with the goal of empowering tweens to transform virtual world fun into real world change, we jumped at the chance.
Involved in the project at a very early stage, we helped define the brand, user experience, and look and feel while also consulting on the technical execution.
While we don’t want to be an educational site for kids we do think there are some important things that can be learned though this project around financial literacy, global issues, geography and languages.

Cache Craze
YTV
One of the most played games on YTV.com in support of YTV’s treasure hunting reality show, Cache Craze. Relish worked with 9 Story Entertainment to create a companion game based on the show that would allow viewers to experience some of the fun.
So yah, can you just make all of our games forever?
Producer, YTV
Geocaches, Amazeballs, and challenges… oh my!
The game features several fun and challenging activities wrapped up into one exciting online adventure. Players navigate a virtual map with challenging terrain running to reach unlocked checkpoints. Each checkpoint features a mini game challenge — based on the challenges seen in the show — that players need to overcome in the hopes of finding a geocache. Players collect all 4 caches and use them to solve the final challenge to win the Amazeball trophy and weekly digital prizes!
Since its initial release in March of 2013, Cache Craze received an upgrade to support the second season and has steadily held the #2 spot on YTV.com, bested only by Knickknack — another Relish project.
Raceview
Nascar
Nascar wanted to bring the race to their most passionate of fans, no matter where they were, or when they were watching. Working closely with our longtime, San Francisco-based partner, Tractor — and sports entertainment innovators, Sportvision — we developed an Adobe Max award-winning online experience where fans could follow their favourite drivers to watch their every move recreated in full 3d, available online, and anytime.
With Raceview, fans could follow their favourite drivers to watch their every move in flyover 3d.
Better than the real thing
Built with Flash and Unity, Nascar fans could watch a 3d recreation of the current race from any location. Leveraging Sportvision’s pioneering telemetry tracking, even the smallest details of the race from in-car radio to weekly car decals and even driver gas and brake usage was tracked. And with a mere 7s delay, it’s just like being there — minus the deafening sound!
Knickknack
YTV
To help support the launch of Some Assembly Required — a new children’s TV show on YTV — Relish worked with Thunderbird to conceive, design, and build a fun and casual game. Knickknack is a physics-based puzzle game that challenges players to help keep the Knickknack Toy Factory operating smoothly by successfully completing 40+ challenges like negotiating crates to their delivery platform and even assembling robots. Along the way they’ll encounter levers, pulleys, springs, batteries, and bombs!
Knickknack carefully leverages the tone and personality of the show… without revealing any spoilers!
Welcome to the toy factory
The game carefully leveraged the tone and personality of the show, staying true to the concept while creating a standalone story of its own…and not revealing any spoilers! Knickknack is playable online at YTV.com as well as available for phone and tablet in the Apple App and Google Play stores.
Shortly after its initial launch, the web version of Knickknack began shattering records for game plays, page views, etc. ultimately overtaking another Relish project, Cache Craze, for top spot as the most popular game on YTV.com!
Swaplockers
Founding partner
Two dynamic entrepreneurs had a vision of a site where you can get actual value for the things you have by trading them for things you want. The big idea — if you donate, consign or list on eBay, you will likely get 5% – 10% of the value of your item, but on SwapLockers, you can trade it and get full value for something else that you really want!
Everyone gets an account and a ‘locker’ — a virtual, personal place with pictures of your stuff that you want to swap. Users post a picture into their locker and fill out a short description of the item, as well as an item value. They can then search for things they might want by category, by locker, or even by direction. When they find something they like, SwapLockers facilitates the negotiate for the swap and you ship your items to each other. Easy as that.
My children have really learned the value of things from using the site. Nothing is worthless. Even though it doesn’t fit you, it will have a value to somebody else.
Swaplockers user
A custom system to trade, swap, and barter
We helped the founders throughout the scope of the project — from initial strategy to design, development, testing and deployment. Our team built a custom framework to support thousands of users and the swapping mechanism, including a unique points system for product ‘pricing’, as well as a communications platform to support private deals between users ranging across the United States, from beginning to end.
Now live for over two years, SwapLockers has welcomed thousands of active swappers, who trade, barter and swap items from games and electronics, to collectibles, clothes, accessories, books and much, much more.
We see the big picture but still obsess over the details.
We're a digital studio that focuses on great experiences and great results. Our team of designers, developers, and producers specialize in all things digital but deep down, we're all just creative problem solvers.
