Woot! Woot! 2 wins for Relish at the Kidscreen Awards!
It was so great to be back in person and to reconnect with familiar faces at the 14th annual Kidscreen Awards in Miami this year. As a celebration of children’s content excellence in TV and digital media, it’s an honour to be nominated.
With over 550 entries from around the world, we are absolutely thrilled to win two Kidscreen Awards: Best Alternative Game for Xavier Riddle Museum Maker and Best Learning App for Cyberchase Duck Dash! Woohoo! Well done, team!
Beyond the wins, we were delighted to receive four Kidscreen Awards nominations in total, with the additional two for Best Web App Series Branded on our work for Matchbox Adventures World Tour and Polly Pocket Adventure Studio.
Congrats to our partners at PBS, The WNET Group, 9 Story Media Group, and Bridge Multimedia for the awesome collaboration on these games and apps. And most importantly, hearty and heartfelt thanks to everyone at Relish who worked so hard to bring both games to life! We’re so proud of all the work we do, and to receive awards for it is icing on the cake!
Cyberchase is an Emmy Award-winning PBS KIDS animated math series that helps build up math skills and environmental literacy in children ages 6-8, showing them that math is everywhere, and that everyone can be good at it!
In this learning app, players are challenged to use math skills to help a flock of cyberducks migrate to their winter home while avoiding obstacles, managing their energy, and finding the perfect ponds as rest stops along the way. Incorporating accessibility features and universal design practices, Cyberchase Duck Dash supports players with physical and cognitive impairments. It’s available on the PBS KIDS Games app and online.
Xavier Riddle Museum Maker is based on the animated adventure-comedy Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum. This award-winning immersive interactive experience is designed to engage and inspire kids to be real-life heroes, pioneers, leaders, changemakers, and achievers.
Players can create museum exhibits for real-life historical figures by exploring different rooms to find clues about their chosen hero or pioneer which helps them create a fact-filled exhibit. Working together with our partners, we conceptualized and developed the game to teach kids about heroes of the past to help them learn how to be their own heroes of the present! Xavier Riddle Museum Maker is available online.
